Wood
and Furniture Industry
TOUCHWOOD Transferfinish by KURZ is a stamping
process designed for the wood finishing industry with unique
features as compared to common finishing techniques: Unlike
a laminate, in the TOUCHWOOD stamping process only the decorative
finish with its protective lacquer layers, decorative pattern
and heat sensitive adhesive is transferred onto the substrate
by heat and pressure. The heat and pressure is generated by
externally heated silicon rubber rollers which simultaneously
release the entire package from its polyester carrier film
and thermally bond it to the substrate in a continuous roll-on
operation.
TOUCHWOOD provides you with your special advantages:
a large variety of patterns and finishes, plus the ability
to decorate the edges and surfaces of full and cut to size
panels leading to increased efficiency and lower costs. In
addition, as this is a dry process, there are no adhesive
or solvent vapors to interfere with the environment. All these
advantages have led to the steady growth of the use of TOUCHWOOD
in the international marketplace over the past years.
